Subject: Minister of Peace Campaign

**Pacing quietly along an empty tabletop, the black vixen's starry eyes glitter as they gaze out over the senate.** Comrades! In the light of recent decisions, I have made a bid for Minister of Peace in addition to my Senator campaign. I believe fully that the Celstial Virtues that I strongly put my faith in, bears all the right ideals for the position I aim for. War is truly not a glamorous thing, though sometimes it is indeed a necessary evil. However, more often than not, through careful thought it can be fully avoided, which is to the benefit of all. Firstly, one must have a safeguard, a saftey net and shield to protect from the threat of conflict. Such a saftey net can be found in allicances, which I believe are hugely important. If I were to be made Minister of Peace, I would see to it that Fort Nightshade would have the greatest allies in all of the Mossflower area and beyond! If we are allied with many, that leaves many fewer groups that would war with us, and even fewer that would be foolish enough to provoke us, knowing that our allies would back us up in such a case. Secondly, to prevent war, one must make the masses aware of dangerous situations. A Minister of Peace should always be in contact with allies, potential aggressors, and their comrades, so that any possible threat can be weeded out before it can take root and grow into conflict. Thirdly, to prevent war, a Minister of Peace must be a good negotiator. One who has the ability to bargain, who knows when to back down and when to push onward. I believe I have said skill and experience, and I can evaluate a situation and know what can be sacrificed and what to fight for, and of course doing everything within my power to make sure that those sacrifices are not the lives of our friends, and that fighting is not done with weapons, but with words. As Minister of Peace, I would allow Fort Nightshade a lasting golden age of prosperity and security!
