Subject: Like to write essays?

Do you like to write essays, go on at length about particular aspects of a character? More importantly do you like Spike? If so I beg of you an essay...on Spike's redemption for a site I run. I've tried to write the darn thing myself but anything I come up with doesn't even give chicken scratch a run for its money. In other words anything I write is bad, just plain awful. If you have thoughts on this issue I'd love to post them, as per usual all credit will go to you and I'll build an alter to your greatness for writing on this topic. I'd prefer the topic to be somewhat shipless not an essay on Spike and Buffy for the site I run isn't about that ship, however I realize that the two do go hand in hand...and can't be completely dismissed.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm interested and I'm sitting on a bucketload of notes already, but I wonder if you could provide more information. Are you considering specific topics or just anything Spike-related? And does the essay have to be explicitly redemptionista? (I'm a bit ambivalent on this, myself.) And which website?

BTW if you want beta assistance on your essay, let me know.

Actually any topics on writing or Spike in general would be great. Any at all. I'd be exceedingly appreciative of anything you'd like to contribute. On a side note, essays can be evilista foused in regards to the redemption issue...I'm really keen on getting different perspectives.

The site is focused on a ship that probably is none too popular on this board, Willow and Spike. But it isn't strictly a shipper site, the fic I hope to one day have archived can actually have the pair written as at each others throats type enemies...the site can be found here.

As for my ill attempt at the redemption essay, I've never managed to get past a title yet, it could be that I'm not sold on the topic yet-pro or anti. *g*

I actually have been thinking about writing an essay on why Spike is different from other vampires and what makes him better than Angelus, and why he was able to love Buffy and do good even withouth a soul. In fact I have my own interpretation for the whole soul matter anyway. It could take some time until I'll finish something like that, thought. How urgently do you need it? And will you beta it? I think my english is quite alright, but as a non-native english speaker, namely a German, I still do make mistakes.
