Subject: Check these recs

Ok, most of these don't have ratings, and I'm not putting them up without. If you don't know, guess. give us an estimate. whatever. and fill in the blanks for the rest - author, spoiler etc.
Just reply here, no need to mail the list or me, I'll come and collect!

"Fool Me Twice" by Gyrus
http://www.fanfiction.net/read.php?storyid=273143
The sequel to "Inside", Majingojira thought it was a “nice little story. I don't think it's as good as the first one, but it's still pretty damn good!”

"In Search of Myself" by Nameless Dreamer
http://www.fanfiction.net/read.php?storyid=488139
Majingojira thought it followed the Xander-centric Formula pretty well, but it deviated in certain important areas, and she well it was well written enough for most people to get by it.

"Learning to Be careful" by Mims
http://www.fanfiction.net/read.php?storyid=596072
Work-in-Progress, B/X A Xander POV. Majingojira summarizes, “Though the fic gets off to a rocky start, it gets better as it goes around - and most importantly, it's got Spike being evil with the chip in. Mims tortures the characters in this...First by showing Xander a world where Joyce didn't die - where everyone it actually HAPPY, and then it is ripped away from him.”

“Controlled Panic” by s. a.
http://archive.shriftweb.org/archive/7/controlledpanic.html
[S3, with foreshadowings of later] Oz/Willow, that first time, recced by Debra. Kate seconded with, “it's just plain scrummy.”

“Domestication” by Indie
www.sunflower.com/~indie/...index.html
It's B/A eventually, so be aware, “It's got perfect dialogue and characterisation and the writing skills of the author are just awesome,” said Jill. Nerf seconded, “it's a well built AU”

“Les Noyades” by Elena
http://archive.shriftweb.org/archive/3/lesnoyades.html
[Post S5 Finale] Recced Connie, “This is actually part two of a series called After the Fall by Elena, but to my mind this is the best part. The series is done from various POVs and deals with the world of the Scoobies after Buffy's death in The Gift.”

“The Price of the Wish” by Robert?
http://members.aol.com/fanfic28/cwishmain.html
[PG-13, S3] Recced by Lizbet in response to a request for Owen fic. Cordelia makes a different wish, and the world as we know it changes (again). The author has taken the Herculean task of rewriting the series into a different timeline, and Owen figures prominently in the Never Kill A Boy rewrite. He has a very different fate than in the series. Lakrids seconded with, “the writer has done a great job of rewriting season 1 and 2 in a much darker style.”

“The Hobo” and “The Fugitive” by Cas
http://archive.shriftweb.org/archive/7/thehobo.html
Recced by Debra. Oregon, 1934. Hard times, depression, and a vampire. Angel, pre-series. Cerisaye seconded, “Loved both these stories. Well written and thoughtful pieces. Worth a look.” Atozmom said, “spare and evocative, this is exactly what I imagine Angel's years of sadness were like.” Link for The Fugitive: http://archive.shriftweb.org/archive/7/thefugitive.html

“Lament of Ganymede” by Two Ladies of Quality
http://archive.shriftweb.org/archive/7/lamentof.html
[S6 ‘Tabula Rasa’] Giles, Ethan... angsty, maybe a bit dark. Recced Pleiades, “this story makes me very happy. And I want to kiss the feet of what or whomever convinced Two Ladies of Quality to start writing Slash.” Kath agreed, “I'll second the feet kissing, as well as the rec. I don't generally read angsty stuff, but who can resist the pull of Giles and Ethan? Two men who, for better or worse, know each other better than they know themselves sometimes. And The Ladies have left just the right amount of hope at the end too. Beautiful.”

“A Place So Bitter” by
http://www.angelfire.com/tv2/dbtd/placesobitter.htm
[PG-13, till end S6, WIP] This piece has an interesting twist to the season 6 finale which involves Spike and his soul. Jamie Beth recced, “The plot drew me in, but the thing I enjoyed the most is the fact that the characters' voices are so dead-on that this story could be an episode.” Mona seconded, “while the premise takes it into AU-territory, it is worth the read. Splendid characterisation, indeed! All of the characters' voices ring true and are skilfully balanced; finally, due emphasis on Willow, Xander and Dawn. Plus, a promising storyline - nice to once again meet cool villains of the past that have been dangling around all loose-end-y.”

“Truly and Forever” by Melymbrosia
http://www.geocities.com/melymbrosia_voyage/buffy/truly.html
[S6 ‘Seeing Red’] Lakrids pointed this out as, “a little Tara and Willow love story, that I read quickly through, and then I read it one more time slower, then I got the point, and it wasn't pretty.” This had the list re-reading, doing double takes and getting creeped out, and Martha seconded it with “Melymbrosia's writing is beautiful and transfixing, and this story is the kind that shivers down your back and sticks with you long after. Dark and perfect.”

“Glorious” by Tara LJC O'Shea
http://ljconstantine.com/rhymes/glorious.htm
[S5 ‘Fool for Love’] Set during and after Fool for Love. Spike takes a walk down memory lane, and takes up poetry again. It's Spike-fic, which covers Spike's first days as a vampire. It also refers to the Order of Aurelius, and tells us how Miss Edith came about. Wiccaragazza recced, “I loved the lyrical style of Tara's writing and her characterisation was brilliant. It also uses nice references to mythology.”

“Truly and Forever” is an R, I suppose; I wasn't sure how to rate it. I've also moved recently, so the preferred link would be to http://gatefiction.com/melymbrosia/buffy/truly.html.

Both errors are mine, not the recommender's; sorry for the trouble.

Can you clarify what's missing from this rec?
The title, author, link, spoilers and rating
all appear to be present. I will say that referring
to Owen, while not inaccurate, could be misleading.
If you look through the list archives you'll find
a couple of earlier incomplete recs for this story
with different spoiler information.

Rating: NC-17.

Do we have a good rating guess guide? Because I wasn't sure what Ang-Nuo would be rated.

PG-13, maybe?
