Subject: frustrated newbie

I'm just starting to read Buffy fic and am quickly becoming frustrated with one particular practice. Granted, I have *not* seen all the archives or groups....

However, most archives I have found do not have a link back to the author's site. So when I find a good story, I have no way to find the author's site. A great deal of the time there isn't an email listed for the author either.

I've noticed in the groups I've joined that authors will post their stories without a link to their site. Instead of being able to happily go scrounge thru an author's site, I have to email and hope they'll respond. Many do and thank you! But a lot of author's don't.

Archives and groups are good things, but please put a link to the sites!

And if all else fails, there's always this group! Our bookmarked recs are very often links to the author's own site, so you can find your way back there. Any archived authors with a site get a link on our own website. And, if you ask someone onlist to help you track down a fic or author, chances are at least one person should be able to help out!

I'm not sure where the bookmarks are, but I'll scrounge around! Thanks!

This is the bookmarks (or links) page at our yahoo page:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BetterBuffyFics/links
where we store all links to all recs made on the list, except the ones that get mentioned 3 times, and go to our archive, here: http://s8219.net/BetterBuffyFic/

Enjoy!
