Not so much actually. Joss was going to make one of his characters gay and was leaning towards Xander when Seth Green left the show. Really, it's because of him that Willow was gay instead of Xander. (Joss had also planned on killing Oz where Tara died to cause EvilWillow-age. It wasn't just a case of Dead Lesbian Steriotype)

Anyhoo, that's hardly the point. This is an archive for well written stories and it just so happens that there are a few well written Xander Slash stories out there. It's not an archive of cannon plausability.

This is just my opinion, but isn't one of the purposes of fanfic to show facets of a character not shown in the original story? A good fanfic writer looks at the show, points at something, and asks: "What if this were different?" Then they write about the new situation and the characters reactions to it in such a way as to make the reader say: "Hey, I can really see So-and-so doing that!" That's what a good fanfic is. And if a fanfic like that happens to include Xanderslash..well, what's wrong with that?

Sorry, but I've always thought it would have made more sense if Xander's character was the gay one. Out of curiosity, where'd you find your info?
