Yes you can re-dye but you may be darking the areas that are already dark. I have a sportswear that was like that. I instead hand painted the areas that were lighter with some very diluted HOT dye. It took a few trys to get the right color but it did work great. It sounds like the dye was not hot enough originally & it may of gotten wet later & streaked or got water spots. After you dye it, wrap it in a towel (so the stones don't get scratched)& stick it in a hot dryer for a few minutes to make sure the dye is set. The hardest part of this is making sure the dye you add will not water spot in the future. Good luck!
