...watching all that moved in her range of sight, wary of others. Shivering, the young wolf slumped down onto the bank, dully watching the water play with her reflection with her odd eyes, warping it. Denu shook her head, frowning, turning up to face the sun as it rose higher into the air, soon to reach its zenith. She watched as random apparitions appeared before her -- her eyes playing tricks upon her, for, of course, Denu was merely hallucinating, lost in the catacombs of her mind. She backed away, fear in her pinkish orbs as they laughed at her, remembering them like it was only yesterday...but maybe it was...it seemed so to Denu, who shrank against the ground at their voices, coming ever closer...she watched as a familiar face valiantly battled another whom she was prone to know, and fall, his enemy victorious. Once again, Denu heard that howl of victory, and the command to rip him to shreds, and the narrow escape...once more did they turn to her, malice glinting in their eyes, thirsting for more blood. They approached Denu, snickering, baring their dangerously sharp fangs, narrowing their eyes as they advanced. She saw them lunge, but then -- it was all gone...Denu curled up into a ball, eyes wide, the same scene repeating in her head, over and over, endlessly...
