You definately have a point, Zeke, about the new server and the spawn rates. I hope to God it's true for your sake :) All I know is that it really sucked for me coming away with nothing after sooo much time invested.
Also, you will have NO trouble at all with your group. I did find out though that it is the Tal Shaman that has the ability to charm (he sometimes drops instead of the Shin Lord). So just make sure you have a caster that can dispel magic, just to be safe...
When I went to camp it our group slowly dissipated as time went on and it only ended up being me and a lvl 40ish cleric after a while, and we didn't have any trouble at all (by that time though the spawns were well spaced out).

P.S. I just read on EQVault that there will be a quest that will allow a char to transfer to a different server. -I should make this a different post but I'm too lazy..
