Subject: Kristen's Q&A Article in SOW(Oct 14th)

Here's a transcript of Kristen's Q&A Session in the latest issue of SOW. Sounds like she's a very grounded kid and enjoys her job very much. Sorry for any typos! :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Do you miss working with Roger Howarth (ex-Todd; now ATWT’s Paul)? Were you very close to him?
No, I was not very close to him. He was very nice to me – at times. I think we did some really good scenes together and a lot of people think: oh, Todd and Starr, he was my dad and we had that father/daughter relationship. But definitely not in real life. He’s a quiet guy. He really didn’t talk to me at all.
What part of being a soap actress is most fun?
My character gets to do stuff I would never be able to do, like take cabs by myself. I was on Broadway [in Annie] and I love working on One Life to Live a lot better. On Broadway, you do the same thing over and over, so there’s no change of storyline.
What would like to see happen next for Starr?
I would like to have some friends. My brother, Eddie [Matthew], and I work together, but he’s younger than me, plus I know him so [well] and he’s always with me. We want another kid to come on the show. Eddie’s praying that it will be Tanner Woods [son of Robert S. Woods, who plays Bo].
What type of music do you enjoy listening to?
I like Good Charlotte. Me and my friends are such big fans of them. I like Avril Lavigne. I listen to Q102; it’s in Philadelphia.
How did it feel when OLTL won the Outstanding Drama Series Emmy last year?
When they said, “One Life to Live,” I was like “Oh, my gosh!” We were all in total shock and we started screaming. It was so much fun; I went up onstage and it was so cool up there. I hope one day I’ll be going up there again.
What is your favorite song to perform?
It’s called Journey to the Past and it’s from Anastasia. I sang it at Super Soap. It’s fun to sing and it’s not that hard. I like There You’ll Be by Faith Hill. I sang it at my cousin’s wedding to dedicate it to my Pop-Pop[her late grandfather].
I hear you live in Pennsylvania. Do your parents drive you to work everyday?
We have an apartment in New York. We go up the night before and sleep over, because usually I have an early call. If I’m working more than a day, we sleep over there, too.
Do you go to school, have a tutor on the set, or both? What do your friends think? What grade are you in? What’s your favorite subject?
Both. I go to regular school and when I go to OLTL I have a tutor there. [My friends] just think of me as Kristen. I don’t like to be like, “Oh my gosh, I’m on OLTL and I’m so much cooler than you.” I don’t like people who do that because that’s not very nice. I’m just a regular kid who is doing something that I love to do. I’m in seventh grade. I don’t have a favorite subject, [but] I like religion.
