Standing with him, Ember fights to remain in control of her pounding heart. Yes . . . at least I used to. Starlight made me learn years ago . . .
She laughs at the memory, shaking her head. She always said I was hopeless though. So you'll have to be patient with me.
She allows herself into his arms, marveling at the bird and the music. Closing her eyes and sighing deeply for a moment, she looks again into Liam's eyes, more than willing to let herself be swept away.
