Author: Elysian Nightfall....
Subject: "She walks in beauty...but by night she is a deadly foe."

Two mintues before she had assended the marble steps to the great hall. The young woman sat silent on the floor, meditating, and thinking of her past. She had been a child when all the world had turned against her, parents stripped away by darkness and dispare. And now, she found herself on the most difficult road she ever faced.

Getting up slowly she circled around feeling the air serching for some sign of an attack. Nothing...an odd word for such a person. To feel nothing was not nomral for Elysian, her father had been one of a race of aliens known for their ablity to use pharamons. She could feel them, smell them if you will, and no two pharamons are alike. So why was it that she couldn't feel with them now. Her master could block his force powers but not his pheramon levels.

"Tweet!" A high pich wistle echoed around, and she doged just as a slash from a saber passed over her head. She beat down the Anger that muttled her mind, trying despreatly to force it away.

"So we face eachother again, My master." Elysian said, her lips twisted into a ferel grimace.

"What little face I have left, that is what you see. There is more beyond that, so said the Dark woman to me, and so I say to you Elysian." her master replied and crossed her par for a blow to the back of the shoulder.

Twenty years ago her master, Lord Bayloth, had discoverd her as a child alone and helpless in the rubble that had been her parents home. He had called himself then the Shadow Lord. A master of both light and darkness. Or so he claimed, and she relished the time she spent with him and florrished from his teaching.

Again the flashes of the saber exploded as the two danced and weaved as boxers in a match. Twisting, turning, dogging. When he jumped at her Elysian high kicked him in the chin sending her master back into the wall. She flipped over, and came up on top. For weeks she had been fighting dark urges to take his place. And now those urges were startring to gear up and assult her at all times. She would cry out, "No! Leave me! I'm at peace!"

But the voices knew better, they always knew what was in her heart. Revenge, bloody revenge for the death of her parents. And soon she could take it, if only she could stop the old fool from medling in her life.

"No!" her mind shouted back at the terrible thoughts. "No I can't. He's been a father figure to me for as long as I can remember. I can't kill him! I won't!"

But the voices wouldn't stop coming. And now she held a wepon in her hands, and they were shaking. Once more her master came at her, charging her, showing her how the darkside could attack her. His mouth was moving and she could hear a voice but the words were a blurr as they fought.

"Concitrate on the here and now Elysia, don't give in. Forget what they are saying, and focus on what you are doing. Think about all the good you shall do once you have become a knight. A Knight of great power."

He backed her into a corner, and she disengaded her weapon. Slowly a plot began to formulate, she would have revenge. Soon very soon. She smiled at her master and nodded. Then the he sat her down in one of the chairs and waited for her master to leave. Once he was gone, she pulled her second saber from her pocket. This one she fit into the first, and locked it into place. The pink blades blazed to life from the green shafts of the connected sabers. And she stared at them, two twin shafts of light, both deadly and beautiful at the same time.

There was a smug satisfaction in holding those blades, one that she enjoyed. Sooner or later she would have to pick a side on which she would fight. And woe to the side that lost her favor.
