 Yes we do Tommy. But for MOST of us it does not rule our lives. There are a few out there yes. People like the KKK and Neo-nazis, Black Panthers, NAACP, and other hate groups who let their hate for other groups rule their every action. But that is a small minority Tommy. Most people (yes the south included) are just average Joes who get up, go to work or school or BOTH (like me) work hard and go home. We don't want to be bothered by hatred nor do we want to bother others with it.

We want to be treated with respect and we in turn treat others that way. Yes even gay, blacks, and other kinds of people who are different than us. It's a false picture that people paint about the south how we are all Klan and full of backwards hate. We don't all sleep with our sisters nor are we all missing teeth and chew tobacco. We're just like everybody else.

And in my mind that means we all are imperfect. We all need Jesus and we all have bad "traits" that need to be curbed. And I am willing to change otherwise I would not let Jesus into my life. To me HE is the power than changes me. Not politics. But it is Him who is the center of my life. (at least I try to make it that way, but don't always succeed)
