Well believe it. There's no use crying about it either. Crying about things doesn't solve the problem. Neither does "feeling your pain." But showing respect to those who make those sacrifices can help a little. At least they won't have to deal with people making fun of them or disrespecting them (not talking about you but people in general).

There is one thing that will fix it. That's having a more responsibly deployed military, so people will not have to leave as much or for as long. Or until they leave the military. But until that happens, just show a little more respect to those who get deployed and they will in kind show it to you.

And remember these people know full well that these things will happen. They know the consequenses of their choice, but choose to serve their country anway. So it's not like the military is evil or anything...until they start drafting again...but we won't have to worry about that for a while.
