Yes. If we are in combat and have either 1> no ammo left or 2> Dont have time to arm ourselves, we are taught how to react to any situation and eliminate the threat. We are trained to use a rifle without ammo to strike / block / and thrust (bayonet) to kill / maim. We are also taught how to use our hands and feet, arms, legs, ect to take a combatent from an attack to laying on the ground with his head caved in. From day 4 of boot camp till the end, you have training about 1 to 2 hours a day (depending on the schedule) learning this type stuff. Near the end of boot camp you go through a 1 day course that tells how to do it in practicle non combat times.... meaning in a McEDs and a guy walks in with a shot gun and such.

So Yes... Marines are taught to relish blood and kill kill kill. :>

Police use mainly non lethal (but still hurts like hell) moves to elimnate a threat but to preserve life. Alot of their moves can be adapted to kill though I am sure.
