Subject: Start a new radio station? ( It can happen )

Sounds too good to be true? Well, I know Jonathon and Kev are both out of work right now but here's an idea..... Every message is talking "Bring them back to WCKG or bring them back to the LOOP" C'mon now... they are already coporate and its over with them. But how about a new station. I know I don't have the funds (I didn't win the powerball jackpot but I am trying the Big Game!!) but I know someone out there does. It's a risk but a little one. I'd even help in doing what I can to make the station popular. Now let's look at this... Jon in the morning, music afternoon, and Kev in the everning. This way you can listen in the morning in your car, music for the afternoon (the majority really never listen to the radio anyway) and the ride home you can have a chuckle or two. Now I know there are some people that listen in the afternoon but not all of us work by a radio all afternoon. This way you can set your morning commute and afternoon commute to a large population. Look I know this was almost a similar setup by the Loop years ago but it worked! Just look at the ratings. The LOOP and WCKG had good reputations but now its history. The facts are here: Chicago loves these guys and now that they are are gone all we do is we complain but no one does anything about it. We just move on and I don't know about any of you but I am tired of flipping through the stations trying to find something to make me laugh. If I had the money I would try this. Now I know the corporate junkies will try to do something but I know that with a little time this dream can happen. Now at first we are not looking at huge numbers but with time they will come back and listen to these guys. Advertising should be no problem since all you have to do is tell them that Jon and Kev are on one station and some of those advertising guys (and girls) were at least one time or another was a Kevhead or a Showgram listener. I know they would advertise with no problem at all (statistically we are a large population of people and right now we are just split in all directions ( The Eric & Kathy group, The Stern Group and the Mancow Group) but look at the ratings for Chicago. Eric & Kathy are number one and next up is Kevin's morning show. This is not the Coporate ratings since that is alot of crap. This is strictly from the Chicago City Search.com's tally of best morning radio show. The voting was from people like you and me and not some corporate number crunchers who feels that this is what we listen to. I know that deep down inside everyone who reads this feels the same way about our radio. It helps us through the good times and bad. The morning commute and afternoon commute would be easier (and alot enjoyable) if these guys are back. Now prove me if I'm wrong but I am sick and tired of listening to crap. How about you? Could we do Jon & Buzz mornings, Kev midays, and bring back Danny for the evening shift? That seemed to be the best radio I've heard.
