Author: Rev. E. Dwayne Looper
Subject: Follow up to "Really Awful Christian Poetry" -- THIS IS ESPECIALLY FOR MISS POPPY !!!

I sent the authoress of that horrid poem SM77 quoted a note of appreciation for, unlike him, I was blessed by the poem. She wrote me back to say:

I thanks you so much for responsing to my poem. I really am trying to express all the dreams and desires that are being held within, needing to be born. Keep me up in your prayer to let these babies be born.
In Christ
Beth

I now have it all figured out: Beth wants the babies inside of her -- both literary and fleshly -- to be born. Thus she is against the abortion of any poem no matter how awful it may be, for she sees the discarding of poem as literary abortion. This is why she publishes all of it. Apparently, literary life begins the moment the finger touches the keyboard or pen touches paper. Both literary and literal abortion are sins against God who is the source of all literature and life.

Editing would be a form of genetic engineering then, and that too would also be a sin. To not sit down at night and write down every little awful poem inside of Beth's head would be birth control, yet another sin.

Of course, unsaved and evil women want to edit and discard the little baby ideas inside of them. They claim that they have a right to "choose" what they will print. When the church insists that they print anything that touches paper (as it is conceived at that moment), these sinful women claim that they have a right to control what goes on in their mind.

Well I say, "It's a poem, not an idea!" And I choose for poetry and not literary abortion under the guise of "editing". Yet there are people, "editors" they call themselves" who will edit a woman's poems for money, and if needed, the will even discard those poems by putting them through a horrible device called a paper-shredder.
This is not of God, who meant that every poem should live to give glory to Jesus.

So choose for poetry and not editing or worse -- shredding!
