Subject: Mc Donald's is far more coherent than Christianity
In reply to: SM78 's message, "No matter how you pretty it up, shit is still shit" on 21:51:08 04/22/01 Sun

If there is one Jesus to know, then there should be one Christianity. After all, if Jesus is standard and unchangeable for all of eternity, then something is wrong if over a billion Christians have broken into numerous groups because they cannot agree upon who the
Jesus is they claim to know.

Mc Donald's delivers a uniform product no matter where you visit its various locations. The Big Mac is the same in California and New York. However, Christianity, powered as it is by an alleged God of perfection whose followers are indwelt by the perfect Holy Spirit, cannot achieve the simple, standard technology of Mc Donald's.

There are many differing interpretations of Christ. There is but one Big Mac. A mere hamburger chain bests Christ's church when it comes to applying standards standardly.

Mc Donald's has but one menu whereas there are numerous interpretations of the Bible.

Mc Donald's has dessert items; Jesus does not.

Mc Donald's gives you food for your money; xtian churches give you headaches, orders, lies, and frustration.

Give me a Big Mac and keep your Bible.
Give me a side of fries and keep your morals.
Give me an iced tea and keep your apologetics.

At least I can rely on Mc Donald's to keep its standards and deliver a standard product consistently. YHWH, with all of his power, cannot deliver a standard, uniform, brand of Christianity in even once city, let alone the world.

They should grind the Bible into liquified pulp and then flavor it with tomato extract and sugar. Then they could put it into little plastic packets. This would allow me to squirt the Bible onto my fries. At least then I could take the Word of God in a way that makes sense: as a condiment.

That is about the only way I care to think of the Bible.
It is a metaphysical condiment that xtians want to turn into our daily diet. People would get sick and even die if they ate only ketchup. I offer you Christianity as proof of this assertion.
