I should clarify why I was ranting about false liberals, by explaining party politics in the UK.

There's two main parties in the UK, Labour (former socialists, Tony Bliar's lot), and Conservatives (centre right; Churchill, Thatcher, etc. and now a guy called Howard leading). There are other parties: The Liberal Democrats, a bunch of peeps who are supposedly liberal in attitude, and then Nationalist parties, such as:

United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP, a little more to the right than people are comfortable with, generally, overly fanatical about withdrawing and severing all ties with the European Union)

Plaid Cymru (Welsh national party, got Wales in mind first and foremost, wants independence)

Scottish National Party (got Scotland in mind first and foremost, wants independence)

British National Party (BNP: racist thugs; anti-immigration; basically the neo Nazis - hates Michael Howard, leader of the Conservatives, because he's Jewish).

In most places, it's the main 3: Labour, Conservatives (I'm a member) and the Liberal Democrats. In Scotland and Wales (where I am), it's the main four (including the local nationalist party).

So I was in an area where the main opposition is the Liberal Democrats, hence my anti-liberal rant. They should be prosecuted for false advertising and incorrect trade descriptions, because they are unliberal (the most quickest people to judge and stereotype) and undemocratic (they are always pushing for a change in the voting system that would so obviously work to their advantage). They jump on any bandwagon, to the extent that they have no sound policies that are applicable to the whole country. They'll be for a topic in one area, and against it in another area. They are devious, and openly lie.

There are plenty of liberals in British politics in most parties (including most definitely the Conservative party), but none of them are in the party which uses the name Liberal, in my current opinion.

The future of British politics? It's looking as though we're going to have a Welsh Conservative Jewish Prime Minister named Michael Howard at the next general election, because the war in Iraq has destroyed Bliar's credibility.
