Howard Dean is right. The Dems have to expand their voting base to more than just vegetarian college students and NPR listeners (and I say this as an NPR listener). As long as they make no effort to win back the Reagan Democrats, operate under the idea that anyone in uniform is a My Lai waiting to happen, and go into a swoon at the sight of a firearm, they will be little more than the Useless Party.
