Subject: Money from Nigeria -- Part II
In reply to: SM78 's message, "Money from Nigeria" on 16:15:32 08/28/03 Thu

Mr. Bello did not reply to me after I asked him to loan me $50,000, so I wrote back to him:

Dear Mr. Bello:

What has happened to our business deal??? I had Mr. Luce Hallady in Geneva for three days. He even had
$35,000 US in expense money with him to cover any contingencies. Now I have had to dispatch him
elsewhere. I also was able to get a swing loan for the $50,000 and sold the museum piece for
$200,000 to a private party. I repaid my lender $70,000 this morning. It is too bad you would
not loan me the money because my friend made $20,000 in three days for lending me $50,000.

I'm sorry that our business deal has apparently fallen apart. If you would like to invest
any of your millions with me, our diamond syndicate is looking for one more partner. The conditions
are these:

1) The person must have $5,000,000 US to invest.

2) The person must have private bank accounts.

3) The person must be able to travel to Moscow 4x per year for a board meeting.

4) The person must register himself as an international diamond courier and have a valid passport.

5) The person must obey all the laws of the various nations to which we will send him as a courier.
We pay $50,000 USD for each courier mission plus expenses and each member of the syndicate is
guaranteed ten missions per year.

6) The person will draw a salary as a board member of $250,000 USD per year plus expenses.

7) The person must be a Christian and believe in Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and
have been baptized in water for the remission of sins.

8) The person must abstain from any conduct or behavior that would bring dishonor upon Jesus Christ.

9) The person must not belong to any groups that deny the deity of Jesus Christ.

Mr. Bello, if you meet these requirements please let me know and I will invite you to be
considered for nomination for membership in our very private diamond syndicate. We would like
a Nigerian member as we find Nigerians to be God-fearing Christians who love Jesus Christ.

Dear Mr. Bello:

I will be glad to fly to Nigeria and meet you at the Russian Embassy. There is no need to mail anything because
I can conduct business in person with you in Nigeria. I usually stay at the Sheraton Hotel when I am in
Lagos. I also stay at the Sheraton in Abuja. I travel under the assumed name of Dr. Horton Lees so that the
Americans do not become suspicious. My body guards travel as family members.

In terms of fees, what shall I expect to pay for legal costs, demurrage, opening a bank account, or other costs associated
with this transfer? I can pay you American dollars or Naira when we meet at the Russian Embassy. Do you prefer USD or Naira?
I am having my attorney obtain a legal entry visa for Nigeria for the sum of $100.00 USD. I do not, and will not, enter Nigeria without legal permission of the Nigerian government. I also need to arrange for armored vehicles and a Russian security detail to transport me from Murtala Mohammed International Airport to the Sheraton.

When I come to meet you in Lagos, I would like very much to meet at the Embassy of the Russian Federation, 5 Louis Farrakhan Crescent on Victoria Island. I am sure you understand my need for security in Nigeria. I need to be present in your country in a safe place. This is far too much money and I have seen too many things go wrong in Nigeria. I will also, in the presence of the Russian ambassador, need to fingerprint and photograph you as well as take a sample of blood for your DNA. These are all security precautions with which I am sure you will have no problem cooperating.

Also, before we can proceed any further, you will have to swear to me by the blood of Jesus Christ that this is not a hoax;
that you are an honest Christian who obeys the commandment not to lie or steal or shed innocent blood. Brother Tobi, you must swear to me in the presence of Almighty God that you are telling me the truth and intend me no harm or fraud. I also need you to swear by the blood of Jesus Christ that you do not work for the American CIA or another intelligence agency.

On a final note, it will be impossible for you and your family to live on my heavily fortified island. However, with your new wealth I can sell you another, smaller island I own. It would be a great new place to start a new life with all of your money. The island is 600 acres in size and has a fresh water well. I bought it for $5,000,000 USD, but will sell it to you
for $4,000,000 USD as I am badly in need of money to finance my diamond syndicate.

Lionel Drinkwater, Esq.

Toby Bello has not answered me back as of this writing. While researching the Nigerian scams called "419", I found a hysterical website of a clever English fellows who has great fun scamming the scammers and posts all of his correspondance. This is a great site:

http://www.nigerian419fraud.freeserve.co.uk/

This fellow has identified characteristics of the scam letters and scammers and his research is fascinating. Apparently, gullible people answer these letters. The scammers do not want to drain your bank account or do an indentity theft, for these are serious crimes. Instead, they get you to believe the ruse and then ask for money for attorney fees, storage fees, etc. They usually want anyhwere from $5,000 -- $35,000 and keep asking for more. And get this -- they want you to send it Western Union!
Dear God! Who would send a stranger in Nigeria $10,000 by Western Union???
