Subject: International Woman's Day

Happy International Woman's Day everyone. It's a great day to reflect on all of the women in our lives and how they have influenced us all, be they our mothers, a close or distant relation, a celebrated person, or, in at least half of our collective experiences, it could be your very own self.

Obviously, this year's events are very focused upon the impending war with Iraq, so it's imperative that everyone who can participate in these peaceful events listed on the Feminist Peace Network site attend and make it an even greater success than it otherwise would.

As you probably know, the vast majority of victims in this immoral action against Iraq will be women and their children, so do what you can to prevent or further delay such destruction from taking place. Perhaps a few thousand can escape into the neighboring countries, if the arbitrary military invasion is put on hold for a little while longer and/or enough lead time is given, because gleefully bombing civilians has become quite a pastime among the top U.S. Air Force brass as it was in Afghanistan.
