I honestly don't know how Al Gore would have responded to 9-11, or even whether there would have been a 9-11 if he'd 'won'. That's something for the alternate historians and writers to work out in years to come.

If we responded to every crisis, we'd be superhuman. The fact is, we can't. So Britain's Blair blindly follows the F�hrer Dumbya Bush, and although humanitarian needs is a noble cause to invade Iraq, the British people have been misled. Blair too.

But we must do the best we can. The Conservative and Unionist Party, I would say, is more humanitarian than Blair's Labour Party. Blair has continued to twiddle his thumbs over the evil dictator Mugabe in Zimbabwe, while the Conservatives have continued to call for something to be done about Zimbabwe. There's no oil in Zimbabwe, though, as far as we know. The attitude of Blair and the Labour Party seems to be: Let the people of Zimbabwe, white and black, continue to suffer, as there's no profit for Britain in it.
