In reply to: Acer 's message, "I have two "burning" questions to ask (I hope they have not been discussed yet..... too many posts to follow!!!)........ After I ask the questions, I will go back to watch the episode again ;) -- Boy, I even lost my ability to use emoticons (for those who know me... This is a serious symptom ;)!. . .Inside" on 12:50:30 05/05/05 Thu

I personally think that they didn't have HMS. But its just my opinion. I think after their intense conversation, they mellowed and went to the captain promotion thing for harm. In my mind, they danced around the question further at capt. party and then asked their friends to meet at the bar. Bud was in the know and asked Harriet to bring the JAG coin, hence her casual attire...IMHO. (NT) -- mariko...I'm still on cloud nine! I'm enjoying everyone's comments here....i loved lurking, but I'm definantly out and about today., 14:43:21 04/30/05 Sat

P.S....I'm wondering if I'm just being sensitive, but did Vic ask Mac to have a "farrow affair" with him when they go to SD??? Its been bothering me since yesterday. He hinted at the "youthful indescretions"and that it was fatal to her career, so it won't be fatal to him...something like that..was that an offer for an affair? (NT) -- mariko, 14:46:39 04/30/05 Sat

I think he was just trying to point out she had made mistakes but still had made it and that her mistakes weren’t held against her. He was trying to get her to do the same thing and not hold his mistakes against him. But I don’t think his are youthful indiscretions and she was not falling for it. I loved that scene have been wanting that since we meet him and he checked her out. (NT) -- Hope, 15:01:24 04/30/05 Sat

But he kept hounding her about capt rabb and her and their 9 year dance...and the whole relationship with farrow seems so similiar to theirs in a sense. It just irked me about the whole scene. I'm just glad that Mac had the composure to stand up and defend. I also the writers did a good job putting vik back into his place since the first time too. (NT) -- mariko, 15:33:00 04/30/05 Sat

Did you notice that after she had said No. No. And NO, he brought up the Farrow affair. I would like to have seen her give him a direct order to get out of her office, and from BEHIND her desk, without responding to his impudent question. (NT) -- Carol R, 16:21:17 04/30/05 Sat

Interesting thoughts about the timing. I agree, it would be hard to get all that action (sorry--pun intended!) into the same evening. As for the ending, I felt better about it all after I added my own coda to the show. In my addendum, after the coin toss has decided the mover, the General points out that it will take a while to resign a commission during these tense military times, and a resignation might not even be accepted. (I seem to remember someone saying this could be the case.) The General then suggests that they get married in DC and go to their assigned new posts, at which time the "loser" (mover) would ask to be posted near his/her spouse. Maybe the General could pull a few strings, and both would still be working and in their branch of the service. The important thing, it seems to me, is that both of them were willing to leave and follow the other.(NT)-- Deemus, 14:44:43 04/30/05 Sat

I think that since Harm accepted his capt's bar, its only right he also accepted his post as for Mac, there were not strings attached to her post. hmmm...it is a ambiguous conundrum, eh? It was cool that the General realized the implications of seperating the two and now that he is certain that love is in the air, he is going to definantly pull the necessary strings... good logic :) (NT) -- mariko, 14:51:39 04/30/05 Sat

Exactly, Deemus. Your scenario works. (NT) -- Ann, 15:53:24 04/30/05 Sat

I know.... I thanked God that there is no S11!!! Knowing TPTB, it would be very much a hint (like Harm's CIA job was hinted before the new season started!!). I think many were right about it. Vic had a crush on Mac, but Mac was disgusted and amused!! I guess it would be basic premise for their relationship, if there is S11 (again THANK GOD, we do not have to go there)! (NT) -- Acer, 14:50:08 04/30/05 Sat

OOPS, this is a reply to Mariko's post about Vic's "Farrow" comment....... I am still angry about it!! (NT) -- Acer, 14:52:40 04/30/05 Sat

I was like what a pompous A$$ because she has a choice between a legitimate relationship with harmkins and an offer for a "torrid affiar" with a loathing lawyer Yucky. Boy it was a tough choice for Mac, eh? I think that he Vic is too egotistical and to have DB think to replace Harm with this character its INSANE!! no wonder season 11 was cancelled. Thanks all the viewers who have common sense to end a dignified military drama. besides the purpose of jag to show the good side of military? (NT) -- mariko, 14:58:37 04/30/05 Sat
