This is the first time they have ever kissed simply because they wanted to. Even the Harm's place kiss was brought on by fears of losing each other forever, and most of their other kisses have been brough on by highly emotional events; usually dealing with loss(admirals proch, Norfolk dock). The closest is the one from AP, but even that was an awkward moment. This one was a kiss for freedom from fear and pain; it was a kiss of true love and contentment; commitment and joy, and is the greatest moment in the shows history IMHO.
