I liked Sturgis too. I was really upset when he and Harm had that ridiculous fight in "Bridging the Gulf". I was hoping for more of a reconciliation between them. Instead, it was just added to the list of dicarded storylines that were haphazardly taken care of at the last minute (like Mattie).
