Subject: Episode of the Week Discussion Questions. . . Inside
In reply to: ^^ 's message, "season ten: Bridging the Gulf, February 18, 2005" on 15:19:29 04/28/05 Thu

We end our sixth rotation through the seasons with this week’s EOTW, Season 10’s "Bridging the Gulf.” While completing routine flight qualifications, Harm is forced to shoot a civilian plane down when it approaches a no-fly zone. The identity of the plane's passenger is revealed as a high ranking politician in the new Iraqi government. Sturgis conducts an investigation and decides to file charges against Harm. Meanwhile, Cresswell pairs Mac with a new JAG attorney, Navy Lt. Gregory Vukovic.

1) Starting with our ratings scale, 0 to 5 with 5 being great. How do you rate this episode and why? Did the plot hold your interest or did the storyline (Harm again facing criminal charges) fall flat?

2) Why did General Cresswell seem to believe Vukovic was a good attorney? Or do you think he did see Vukovic’s faults?

3) I have never understood what Mac’s relationship with Vukovic was supposed to be or why she acted in the manner she did with him. Vukovic in this episode clearly acts unprofessionally, ogling Mac and lying to win the case. Yet, at the end, Mac says she won’t bring him up on charges. Why not?

4) What was the reason for the bitter animosity between Sturgis and Harm? Did Sturgis seem eager to file charges against Harm? Did he resent Harm?

5) Why was Harm smoking a cigar in this episode?
