JAG Pilot

In this two-part beginning for the series, Harm looks into the mysterious death of a female pilot aboard an aircraft carrier. Harm is convinced the female pilot who fell overboard didn’t commit suicide, but was actually pushed, with all the suspects still aboard the carrier. Kate Pike is Harm’s partner in this episode.

Shadow

A disgruntled civilian weapons technician, using a state-of-the-art torpedo, holds the crew of the USS Tigershark submarine hostage. Lt. Meg Austin is introduced in this episode as Harm’s partner.

Desert Son

Harm and Meg investigate whether a General's son is responsible for a fatal mistake during a training mission. The arrogant son admits to transposing artillery coordinates, but Harm and Meg become suspicious when a tape of the incident is found to be erased.

Deja Vu

Harm and Meg investigate a series of murders of Navy Lieutenants. In this episode we learn that Harm traveled to Vietnam when he was 16 to search for his missing father. In Vietnam, Harm met a young girl named, Gym, who was killed by the border patrol as they crossed into Laos. While at a party for the Vietnamese Ambassador, he meets the Ambassadors wife who looks like Gym. The Ambassador and his wife, Angelique, are both suspects in the murders of the Navy Lieutenants.

Pilot Error

Harm suspects that an autopilot device figured in the fatal crash of an F-14 Tomcat, piloted by his friend Luke Pendry, despite the contractor's contention that the pilot was at fault. This episode introduces Luke’s widow, Annie, with whom Harm will have a romance in a later season, and her son, Josh.

War Cries

Harm and Meg are sent to Lima, Peru to investigate the shooting of a Peruvian boy by a Navy officer. During the investigation, they uncover a plot to assassinate the United States ambassador.

Brig Break

Meg and Harm are sent to investigate the theft of stolen missiles at a Naval Base where Lt. Kate Pike is now stationed. Meg is taken hostage during a brig break, which actually a cover for the plot to steal the weapons.

Scimitar

Harm and Meg are sent to Iraq to defend a Marine accused of being a spy. Harm works, initially without Meg's knowledge, to smuggle the Marine from an Iraqi prison with the help of Scimitar, an undercover operative.

Boot

A female Marine private is found dead, hanging from a rappel tower. Meg goes undercover as a boot camp recruit in the dead girl’s unit, while Harm is the JAG officer investigating the incident. This episode features the scene of Harm, with rope and harness, rappelling down the tower.

Sightings

Harm and Meg investigate the disappearance of a young girl on an abandoned Navy base. The disappearance has the earmarks of a UFO abduction or secret experiments by the Navy. Harm rescues Meg and the child who have been taken hostage by drug smugglers who are using the abandoned base as a place to stash their drugs and planes.

The Brotherhood

Harm and Meg investigate the beating of an African-American Marine. At first Harm believes the attackers were racist, but then is shocked to discover that the soldier is being blackmailed by his former street gang to push drugs on base. If the Marine refuses to cooperate, the gang threatens to kill his brother.

Defensive Action

Harm and Meg are assigned to defend Thomas Boone, the CAG from the Seahawk, who is put on trial for shooting down a Serbian helicopter he says was firing on US pilots as they ejected from an exploding plane. The key witness is one of his men, now lost behind enemy lines. This episode introduces Commander Allison Krennick. Harm gets promoted to Lt. Commander at the beginning of this episode.

Smoked

Harm, Meg and Krennick, accompanied by a State Department official, are sent to Cuba to negotiate the release of a Navy pilot and his state-of-the-art F-14 Tomcat before foreign agents can get to the top secret instrumentation that's on board. To Harm’s surprise the pilot is his Naval Academy roommate, Jack Keeter.

Hemlock

As Meg lies in a coma, shot by the mysterious assassin Hemlock, Harm and Krennick race against time to find Hemlock before he assassinates Russian President Boris Yeltsin during a visit to the United States.

High Ground

Harm and Meg are sent to defend Gunnery Sergeant Ray Crockett, a sniper for the Marines, but for the past few years has been training other snipers at Quantico. Crockett is charged with shooting at the new base CO who wants to transfer Crockett back to combat duty. This episode features Harm in combat gear and camouflage.

Black Ops

The Naval aviator son of a powerful female senator dies while on a SEAL training mission. Harm and Meg investigate and discover that the son may have been murdered to cover up a drug operation run by a US general.

Survivors

Harm represents a divorced Marine colonel who becomes a fugitive when he keeps his young son longer than the time allotted in his custody agreement. Complicating the case are the colonel's flashbacks to Vietnam, which cause him to confuse the boy with the buddy he lost there.

Recovery

Harm and Meg investigate the suspicious death of an astronaut during training for a space shuttle launch. Harm at first believes a hot-shot backup astronaut is to blame, but then discovers the murder is part of a foreign power spy plot to sabotage the shuttle mission.

The Prisoner

After being kidnapped and held in a Chinese prison, Harm becomes convinced they are also holding his long-lost father.

Ares

Harm, Meg, and Kate Pike learn that a murdered sailor was trained for a top-secret defensive system known as Ares. The system has taken over a destroyer, and they must stop the sabotaged ship from sailing into North Korean hands. This episode features Harm in the Hawaiian shirt boarding a plane for vacation.

Skeleton Crew

Harm investigates the death of Navy Lt. Diane Schonke while trying to hide the fact that the Lt. was his close friend.
