Critical Condition

Harm, Mac and Sturgis unite aboard an aircraft carrier following their successful thwarting of a terrorist plot, only to receive word of Bud's accident. While Harm and Mac disobey orders to rush to the shipboard hospital, back at home, the Admiral breaks the news to Harriet. Meanwhile, the Secretary of the Navy is accused of mishandling the terrorist threat by letting JAG officers lead the investigation and faces serious disciplinary action. The end of this episode is Harm breaking down in tears after learning that Bud will survive and being comforted by Mac.

The Promised Land

Mac and Harm defend a Marine corporal charged with desertion. He claims that anti-Semitism drove him to leave the Corps and join the Israeli army.

Family Business

Harm defends a Marine gunnery sergeant who killed his wife, but claims it was self defense while he refuses to let his son testify on his behalf. Harm later learns that the son accidentally shot his mother and the father is protecting his son.

Dangerous Game

Mac and Sturgis defend two Navy SEALS accused of killing a deputy sheriff during a high speed car chase, but claim they thought the chase was part of a training exercise. Harm prosecutes the SEALS together with a new JAG lawyer, Lt. Cmdr. Tracy Manetti. The local sheriff claims that the SEALS were speeding and, since his department was not aware of any military activity going on in town, pursued the car. The Navy, though, maintains that they did indeed inform the local authorities and claim the sheriff is lying.

In Thin Air

Harm is assigned to defend a crewman responsible for plane maintenance accused of causing the death of a RIO (radio intercept officer). Harm is relieved of the case after the crewman questions his objectivity. Harm then flies with the plane’s pilot to uncover the truth about the RIO’s death. This episode features Harm’s line to Mac: “Do I give you nightmares?”

Offensive Action

Harm and Manetti defend a female pilot accused of sexual harassment by a member of her crew who claims she ruined his future in the military because he rebuffed her advances. Mac and Sturgis prosecute. This episodes features Harm’s line to Mac “Do you want to have sex with a junior officer?” and in the same scene Harm brings up Mac’s affair with Farrow.

Need to Know

Harm, Mac and Turner go up against CIA attorney Catherine Gale when the agency tries to keep a 1968 Navy sub tragedy, in which 129 men died, classified. This episode features Mac and Harm coming in with groceries to cook dinner at Harm’s apartment and finding a TV set and video tape left by Webb.

Ready or Not

Harm defends a two-star Marine General who is being court-martialed for disobedience and reckless endangerment during a war game. His job is made more complicated when Mac is appointed as judge for the case.

When the Bough Breaks

Harm investigates a flight deck accident aboard the Seahawk while Mac conducts an investigation as to whether the father of Lt Singer’s unborn child is someone onboard the ship.

The Killer

Harm and Manetti travel to Naples when an Interpol officer believes someone aboard a U.S. destroyer is a serial killer who has killed four women while on leave in European ports. Mac does not appear in this episode.

All Ye Faithful

As Bud and Harriet prepare for a festive dinner with the JAG team, Bud finds his family is broke because of a payroll problem. While trying to rectify the situation, Harriet becomes ill and the diagnosis is surprising as she learns that she is pregnant again. Harm and Admiral Boone seem doomed to spend Christmas aboard a carrier until the opportunity to ferry a fighter back to New Jersey presents itself. Unfortunately, they're forced to detour when they're called upon to locate and escort a C-130 that is having navigation problems. Meanwhile, back at JAG Headquarters, the Admiral and Mac have their hands full with a displaced Marine couple about to have a baby and three lost Saudi diplomats.

Complications

Harm and Mac are assigned to investigate after a Marine General claims a doctor caused his daughter's death in the operating room, even after the physician was cleared of malpractice. After a nurse testifies that General Kubin intimidated her into blaming the doctors, Mac must find out what really happened in the operating room in order to defend the General from obstruction of justice while Harm prosecutes.

Standards of Conduct

Mac is furious when she helps a Navy whistleblower who worked on a flawed high-tech weapon be discharged from the military and it's discovered he stole the tech secrets to use in his video-game company. Meanwhile, Harm is threatened with a lawsuit by an elderly lady and her shady lawyer following a minor traffic accident.

Each of Us Angels

In a tribute to U.S. Navy nurses, the cast play different characters in a story set during the Battle of Iwo Jima, where a wounded Marine and a Navy nurse fall in love aboard a ship that serves as a makeshift hospital.

Friendly Fire

Harm, serving as judge, hears the high-profile case of a U.S. pilot involved in the accidental bombing of British troops in Afghanistan while Mac prosecutes. Mac's fear for her case is two-fold: one, that Harm might try to get back at her for perceived slights when their roles were reversed in a recent case and, two, that Harm's background as a fighter pilot might play in favor of the defendant. Adding to the tension in the courtroom is the Secretary of the Navy's pressure to convict, which makes his political concerns readily apparent.

Heart & Soul

AJ struggles for survival in the freezing mountains after he accidentally ejects himself from a fighter jet piloted by Harm. As AJ puts all his survival skills to the test to fight the elements, Harm commandeers a Humvee against orders and drives into the frigid mountains of Virginia to conduct his own ground search.

Empty Quiver

When a nuclear torpedo cannot be accounted for by the crew of a submarine, Sturgis is sent to Norfolk to investigate whether it's a case of terrorism or carelessness. Meanwhile, Harm arrives at the same base to investigate charges that his client may have misappropriated Navy funds and finds himself unable to leave because of tightened security over the missing torpedo.

Fortunate Son

After a young Vietnamese-born Marine is caught seemingly red-handed by INS agents smuggling illegal aliens into the country, Harm is assigned to investigate. Commander Teddy Lindsey is assigned by the SecNav to conduct an audit of the JAG office.

Second Acts

In Uzbekistan, Petty Officer Wilson is caught on film saving lives during an attack. When the footage runs on TV, a woman recognizes him as her husband's former business partner, Matthew Devine, who she thought died with her spouse in the World Trade Center on Sept. 11. While Turner gets to the truth about the deception, Harm helps the widow, who doesn't understand why Devine won't tell her the details of that tragic day. Harm is later assigned to defend the petty officer.

Ice Queen/Meltdown

An NCIS unit investigates the murder of Lieutenant Singer, whose pregnant body was found in a local park. Harm is arrested for the crime and is put on trial. The case against Harm appears to be very strong, but NCIS Agent Gibbs begins to have doubts about Harm’s guilt despite the incriminating evidence.

Lawyers, Guns & Money

Mac is recruited by the CIA to go on a top-secret assignment with Agent Clayton Webb. Posing undercover as Webb's pregnant wife, Mac travels with him to Paraguay to help bring down a drug lord responsible for selling stinger missiles to terrorists.

Pas de Deux

Mac and Webb find themselves in a dangerous situation in Paraguay as they’re drawn deeper into the world of drug merchants and terrorists. Meanwhile, Harm’s search for Mac leads him to CIA attorney Catherine Gale whose ailing mother mistakes Harm for her daughter’s boyfriend and Harm is forced to play along in a fake wedding ceremony.

A Tangled Web (part 1)

Harm resigns his Navy commission to track down and rescue Mac and Webb who are being held hostage in Paraguay. As Harm and Gunny search for their friends, Mac’s cover as Webb’s pregnant wife is blown by the terrorists who mercilessly torture Webb. As Stinger missiles are set to be fired at U.S. targets, Harm and Gunny risk their lives to find a way to rescue Mac and Webb before they are killed and the missiles are launched.
