Subject: Why the Harm story last night shippery from my POV
In reply to: - 's message, "season eight:Pas de Deux, May 13, 2003" on 19:02:36 05/19/03 Mon

Yes, ok, y'all know I'm not a shipper, but I see the writing on the wall and it is moving closer to Harm and Mac getting together. Now you wonder why last night was shippery? I'll tell you what I think.

HE HAS TO FIND MAC! He's worried sick about her. He tries everything he can to find out where she is. The logical choice is to contact the CIA. But his only contact at the CIA (Webb) is with Mac. The only other person he knows is that Catherine Gayle who was on the case in Need to Know.

He calls her and her secretary isn't helpful, but she finally tells him where she supps at. He goes there and tries to get her to make a call for him. She refuses. She gets the call from the hospital about her mother and she freaks out. Ok, now here, I don't know if he offerred to take her because of civalry or because he felt by doing it, she'll be grateful enough to make the call for him. HE HAS TO FIND MAC!

At the hospital, they say goodbye, but Harm doesn't give up easily. HE HAS TO FIND MAC! So her brother welcomes him, etc. He doesn't know what to do at that point, but lets him lead him into the room. The mother is sooooo excited. Her daughter has finally brought her beau to see her.

They leave and Harm says the gig is up and tries to get out of it. But the old lady wants to see them and then wants a marriage. She is dying and Harm doesnt know what to do. HE HAS TO FIND MAC!

So he agrees only if he can supply the minister, Bud. It happens and then a kiss. Ok, the kiss lasted longer then either one expected. Catherine was really getting into it. Yes Harm enjoyed it, but so what? He's a guy! He wasn't being unfaithful to Mac. It doesn't mean he's interested in Catherine, but she's obviously interested in him.

But guess what, Catherine makes the call for him. That's what he wanted her to do! HE HAS TO FIND MAC! It's just it got out of hand and that is what made it funny.

So for those of you upset about this, remember his goal of the whole ordeal what that HE HAS TO FIND MAC!

Next week he quits JAG because HE HAS TO FIND MAC!

Am I making any sense to my shipper friends. I'm not trying to sound patronizing, I just don't think it was a big deal because his ultimate goal was HE HAS TO FIND MAC! And y'all know I'm always trying to find the non-shipper angles to the episodes, but in this one I'm sure I'm right.
