The second the growl was directed t'ward Chiumbo, was when Placid snapped... no one growled at one of her pack members and got away with it-especially a lupine as close to her as Chiumbo. Her entire mass surged forward-her massive weight heaved against the femme as her jaws latched with iron-like strength onto the femme's muzzle. She could not escape now, Placid's move had been done-and would not be reversed.

Her grip was 'pon the femmora's muzzle, but her neck remained scrunched-thick folds of skin and fur protecting her jugular. Her shoulders, as well, were forward-making a fortress to guard her throat. Snarling, her fangs slid deeper and deeper into the femme's skin, blood surging forth as she held on tightly. Rogue was right about one thing-there would be a death in this battle... but she was horribly wrong about another-the death would not be Placid's.
