Short stories are tough for any author. But Dean Koontz pulls it off with flair.

I don't follow you. Are you being sarcastic?

Strangers is the one about the people who start having unusual psychological symptoms and eventually travel to a place where they had all once met previously. I was pretty sure I knew where the story was going about halfway through the book, but I still enjoyed getting there.

What made the book strange to me was that part of it was about people being kept in beds and feeling horrible. I read this book while I was in bed with the flu for a week and feeling not quite in my own head as well. At times, the sufferings of the folks in the book seemed to merge into my own flu symptoms. It was a strange book to read while sick.
