Thunders Heart: ::She jumped into the hatch of the hidden tunnels just as the walls of the castle came crashing down. It was a 7 foot drop from the floor of the library so she rolled as she hit the bottom. Mountains of dust and stone came crashing
Thunders Heart: behind her. Her back was hit many times but she kept running hoping Tie got far enough away that she didnt trip on her or worse. The tunnel was so dark she couldnt see her own hand let alone the walls that clung so close to her
Thunders Heart: sides::
Thunders Heart: Tie!!! ::she screamed as she ran, holding her side where the blade had cut deep, hobbling heavier on her other leg::
Thunders Heart: ::the ground rumbled under her feet, fearing that her sister had been trapped by a cave in:: Tie, where are you??

ThymeWalker: ::running as dust and small rocks still fell from the roof above them she hears Krys call her name from behind and she slows her pace holding her broken arm and panting hard:: Up here!!
Thunders Heart: Keep talking to me....::her breath hard in her lungs:: Im comming...
ThymeWalker: ::stopping to lean against a wall:: You are not far...keep coming....
ThymeWalker: its so dark I can barely see
ThymeWalker: if I could change over I would be able to see but unable to fly
Thunders Heart: ::she ran right into her, stumbling over feet::
Thunders Heart: Tie? is that you ::reaching out to touch her and feel her face::
ThymeWalker: ::she stumbles and falls over unable to keep her balance:: yes its me
Thunders Heart: ::suddenly the only sound they heard was their own breath::
Thunders Heart: Do you hear that?
ThymeWalker: ::trying to control her breathing:: hear what
Thunders Heart: ::she groped in the dark to help her friend up, taking her arm::
Thunders Heart: I hear nothing...
ThymeWalker: ::she screams:: ACK....not that one
Thunders Heart: Oh Gaia, your hurt
Thunders Heart: Are you ok, whats injured?
ThymeWalker: ::grabs her arm as she gains her feet:: aye just a broken arm..how about you
Thunders Heart: ::the hand that grabbed her had been wet and sticky from holding her own side which bled::
Thunders Heart: Just bumps and bruises
Thunders Heart: Ok we need to get out of here. Did you memorize the route of this tunnel?
ThymeWalker: ::unable to see in the dark nor feel the wetness from her arm being numb she nods as if she can see her:: aye we should come to a fork soon we want to go to the left
Thunders Heart: yes maybe I should lead though it seems even with these eyes I can see nothing
Thunders Heart: there is no light here at all
Thunders Heart: we will just keep close to the wall and should find it
ThymeWalker: ::thinks:: wait
ThymeWalker: ::she fummbles in her boot pouch and pulls out one of her darts:: Krys rip me a piece of your shirt
Thunders Heart: a piece of my shirt?
Thunders Heart: ::tears off a piece of sleve that was barely hanging there anyway::
ThymeWalker: yes not a large piece just enough to wrap around the end of this dart
Thunders Heart: what are you going to do with this? ::she held it out but knew tie couldnt see it:: you have a dart?
ThymeWalker: ::finds her hand and gives the dart to her:: here take this and tie it up
Thunders Heart: tie it up how? around the dart?
ThymeWalker: ::nods on instinct again:: aye it wont be much but it will keep us from going the wrong way
ThymeWalker: a tourch Krys a tourch
Thunders Heart: ::ties the cloth around the dart tip:: Ok its tied
ThymeWalker: ::reaches out her hand and feels the tip then with no word at all she gently blows the tip to flame....the passage lights up as if it early morning::
ThymeWalker: there...it wont last long but I have enough darts if we need them
Thunders Heart: ::she held it as close to the bottom as she could::
Thunders Heart: ::she began to walk leading the way holding the tiny flame in front of her::
Thunders Heart: Im not sure we should use fire in here. I could depleat the air

ThymeWalker: depends
Thunders Heart: ::the fabric let off an acrid air as it burned::
Thunders Heart: ::she limped down and down as the path went, the tunnels going deeper and deeper into the mountain::
Thunders Heart: The slope is getting a bit steep here, be careful
ThymeWalker: ::looks at her serious and says almost in a whisper:: if the way out is blocked
ThymeWalker: at the bottom should be the fork
Thunders Heart: I will dig us out ::she grunted as the slope changed and made her walk too quick, opening the wound wider::
ThymeWalker: ::watches her friend as the light goes dimmer:: you lied
Thunders Heart: what? Ouch! ::she droped the dart and the light went out::
Thunders Heart: cant you make one of those light globes like my aunt does?
Thunders Heart: damn darts get hot
ThymeWalker: ::mummbles:: if only I could
ThymeWalker: ::grins from behind:: I can only make light if I have something to make light from
Thunders Heart: Have to climb through this part ::she felt with her hands the walls had crumbled in places causing them to have to climb through a hole::
Thunders Heart: ::she climbed through with many a grunt then sliped on the other side landing on her rump with a wail and a curse::
ThymeWalker: ::takes a breath then winces hearing KRys on the other side:: are you ok
Thunders Heart: its a slight drop on this side ::grumbles:: lower then where you are
ThymeWalker: here I come
Thunders Heart: ::holding to the walls and biting her lip she got up again without letting out a pained moan::
ThymeWalker: ::she climbs through the hole groping her way with one hand trying to hold herself but does as Krys did and slides down the other side she catches her breath as the jar shakes her arm:: ssssssss
Thunders Heart: You ok?
ThymeWalker: yes
ThymeWalker: I may not have an arm left when this is done but I am ok
Thunders Heart: These rocks are a bit slippery, must be some water down here
ThymeWalker: how about you?
Thunders Heart: Ahten didnt kill me so this wont either ::with that she began again a slower trek::
Thunders Heart: I think I feel the opening, the wall seems to curve here
Thunders Heart: come beside me, its wider here, check the other side
ThymeWalker: ::coming up beside her then going to check the otherside she bumps into an over hanging rock and gashes her head:: OUCH....curses!!!! ::bites back tears and feels along the wall to the left:: here it is this way
Thunders Heart: what happened? ::reaching towards her::
Thunders Heart: ::she walked into the overhang herself::
ThymeWalker: bumpped my head I will be ok ::feels something cool trickle down her cheek but ignores it and wipes it away::
Thunders Heart: *thud* owwww
ThymeWalker: oh yeah watch that
Thunders Heart: thanks ::rubs her own head feeling a knot::
ThymeWalker: are you alright
Thunders Heart: Wolves have pretty hard heads

Thunders Heart: ::ducks down as the walk on, her hands out to either side of the walls::
ThymeWalker: ::nods again not that she could see but all the same::
Thunders Heart: ::down and down they went, it felt like hours, closed into this dark tomb::
Thunders Heart: Maybe we should rest a bit.
ThymeWalker: didnt you say you supplied the tunnels?
ThymeWalker: or did you forget this one
Thunders Heart: I put some half way to the other side. I would have thought we would have found them by now
Thunders Heart: ::just then she trips over something and goes sliding on the slick rocks under their feet::
ThymeWalker: ::hears her slip and calls out groping around her:: KRYS!!!
Thunders Heart: Im ok ::calls out::
Thunders Heart: I triped on something watch out
Thunders Heart: on the ground
ThymeWalker: ::stops where she is and kneels down feeling the ground around her:: I think you found what we were looking for
ThymeWalker: please tell me you packed candles
Thunders Heart: ::her hands scuffed with tiny scrapes, nails torn down to the tips of her fingers she slid herself back upward on her ass::
Thunders Heart: candles, bandages, dried meat and water
Thunders Heart: I could really use some of that water right now too
Thunders Heart: ::she leaned her back against the wall and carefully felt her hip::
ThymeWalker: ::Lets out a breath:: may Gaia bless you ::fummbles around and finds the candles::
Thunders Heart: ::lets out a slight laugh:: too bad I didnt pack a needle and thread
ThymeWalker: ::gently blows as the wick takes flame:: an then there was light
Thunders Heart: Dayum, you look like hell. ::starts to laugh::
ThymeWalker: ::she jams the candle into a crack:: I left my pack in the castle
Thunders Heart: ::leans foward a bit:: there is blood on your face
Thunders Heart: hard to tell with all the dirt but its pretty clear, was that from the overhang?
ThymeWalker: ::looks at her the nwipes her head feeling the cut winces:: aye
Thunders Heart: no brains falling out so you should be ok
Thunders Heart: ::tries to smile::
ThymeWalker: ::gives her a wry grin::
Thunders Heart: can I have that water skin?
ThymeWalker: you look terrible
Thunders Heart: thank you, your too kind ::laughs::
ThymeWalker: ::leans over winces again and hands her the skin::
Thunders Heart: ::she was pale though it would be hard to see under all the dirt::
ThymeWalker: so lets access you shall we
Thunders Heart: ::she took it and drank but not too deeply knowing it could be a while before they got out::
Thunders Heart: ::hands her back the water::
ThymeWalker: ::takes it and clears her throat the puts it away::
Thunders Heart: I could use some kind of turnicate, this thing wont stop bleeding
Thunders Heart: ::she looked down at the top of her thigh::
Thunders Heart: Keeps opening up I guess
ThymeWalker: ::blinks suddenly seeing her leg:: you need more than that
Thunders Heart: that man of Ahtens just nicked me thats all
ThymeWalker: that is more than a nick
Thunders Heart: ::her breaches were darkly stained from hip down past her knee::
Thunders Heart: You got some nice stains going on your arm too, maybe I should take a look at that
ThymeWalker: ::shakes her head quickly:: its bad enough
Thunders Heart: ::leans her head on the wall::
Thunders Heart: Think we will get out?
Log Entry: Under the Castle [Members - 2] 7/15/2002 10:00 PM
ThymeWalker: ::would shrug but it hurts:: I dont know
Thunders Heart: Tie....before I jumped into the tunnel...
ThymeWalker: ::looks at her as she takes bandages out of the pack:: what
Thunders Heart: it looked like hell had opened up and was swallowing the castle
Thunders Heart: Runic was out there
Thunders Heart: ::bites her lip feeling tears sting her eyes::
ThymeWalker: ::blinks:: you .....
ThymeWalker: you dont think
ThymeWalker: ::is afraid to say what she thinks::
Thunders Heart: It was all coming down, the rocks filled the tunnel after I got in
Thunders Heart: we couldnt go back that way if we wanted to
ThymeWalker: ::squares her shoulders not wanting to show her saddness not here not now she nods:: then we move on
ThymeWalker: ::pulls out the clean bandages::
Thunders Heart: ::nods:: we move on ::she tried to push up using the wall for leverage::
ThymeWalker: wait
Thunders Heart: ::she hadnt gotten far, it really hurt to move that leg, she let her self back down to the ground::
ThymeWalker: ::holds out a bandage:: wrap this around your leg
Thunders Heart: ::she took the bandage and folded it a few times. Her lips drew in over her teeth as she moved the cloth under her leg::
Thunders Heart: ::pulling it up she tied it over the gash as tightly as she could and still walk, her eyes nearly rolling back in her head::
Thunders Heart: arghhhh ::she exhaled::
Thunders Heart: ::taking a few deep breaths to steady herself::
Thunders Heart: Your arm, it was bleeding. Is it still?
Thunders Heart: Looks like he damn near riped it right off your body
ThymeWalker: ::lays a hand to her to help steady her Krys feeling just a bit of her friends energy moving through her:: I have managed to stop the flow but I am not ready to look at it yet
ThymeWalker: I just need a sling if you could
Thunders Heart: Its swollen up enough that the fabric of your shirt has probably kept it from getting worse
Thunders Heart: ::she took out another bandage and tied it in a knot, putting the sling over her sisters head::
Thunders Heart: try to slip your wrist in here
Thunders Heart: ::trying to jest:: your arm looks meatier then BA's
ThymeWalker: ::has to laugh cause moving the appendage was killing her she then lets out a growl:: grrrrr ::but manages to get it together::
Thunders Heart: ready? ::she picked up the supplies and slung it over her shoulder::
ThymeWalker: as I will ever be
ThymeWalker: ::gets to her feet grabs the remaining candle and moves forward::
Thunders Heart: ::and on they went, ever downward in the darkness::
