Subject: can't remember title

I ready a book about 15 yrs ago that I thought was by John Saul. It was about this family who kept losing babies to what they were callind sudden infant death syndrome. As the book went on it was discovered that a crib that kept being handed down generation after generation thru this family was traced back to when it was built. It was found to have been built using the wood from the cross that Jesus died on. Can anyone please help me with finding the title of this book. Like I said I thought it was by John Saul, but I could be mistaken.
