*Jessie runs to meet the trailer. "Is that my pony?" she asks the Saddle. Saddle gets out of the truck and unloads the mare from the trailer, then hands the lead to Jessie. "Yes, she's your pony" she says. "Can i ride her now?" she asks excitedly. "I don't see why not, as long as you take it easy, its her first day here" Saddle tells her. "OK" Jessie says, and hurries to the barn, leading the mare. she grooms her slowly and tacks her up, getting to know her a little, then puts on her riding helmet and mounts the pony. she walks and trots around to warm up, Rose acted up a little, shying at noises and bucking in her transitions. Jessie laughs and moves with the pony, then asks for a canter. the pony springs into a gallop and Jessie sits back and gives her a few hard half-halts and steadily pulls back on the reins until the pony canters. she smiles and sits to the rocking gaits, then slows the pony to a trot, changes direction and repeats the canter. at first the filly does not pick up the right lead. it takes several tries before she moves into a quick canter on the correct lead. Jessie praises her canters her around a few times, then slows to a trot and does some circles before walking and cooling her out. "Well, what do you think?" Saddle asks. "Yeah, do you like her?" Jessie's twin, Maggie asks. "She's awesome!" Jessie exclaims. Wanna try her, Maggie?" Maggie looks around nervously then responds "Nah, i'll let you work with her, i'll get my pony soon." Jessie sighs, frusterated at her more timid twin. "You could handle her just fine, you just as good of a rider as me and you know it..." she exclaims. "C'mon, Jessie, its not worth it" Mikki interupts her. She leads the mare back to the barn and untacks her*
