*Mikki enters the barn leading Missy. he helps Jon tack up the mare and leads her into the riding ring. he gives Jon a leg up into the saddle and tells him what to do to warm up the mare "walk...do a figure 8 there, now reverse and go the other direction, and trot...now do a few figure 8's...10 meter circle at "A" and canter...do a figure 8 at the canter, flying changes between circles, now go across the diagional and change rein at the canter...good, now let her walk a few minutes and we'll go to the barrels, you remember the pattern, right?" at Jon's nod he smiles. after a few laps he directs them to the barrels and has Jon trot the barrels several times before telling him to try a canter. Missy eagerly canters to the first barrel, circles around it, canters to the second barrel, canters around it and heads to the final barrel, turns tightly and with Jon's encouragement springs into a gallop to come home. "ok, do it like that a few more times, then we'll call it a day" he tells Jon. Jon nods and does the pattern a few more times before walking the mare off and helping load her in the trailer to go home*
