*"Hey Jon" Mikki greets him as he walks down the isle, leading a tacked up Missy and his younger sister, Michelle. "Sorry, i'm stuck babysitting while Mom takes Hannah to get some stuff for her new horse. she just got a cute arab gelding" Jon smiles. "its OK, you can just time us today, i think i've got this barrel racing stuff down now" he says confidently. Mikki shrugs. "Ok, thats what we'll do then, you only have one lesson after this anyway, then your on your own" He smiles teasingly "Of course, for a small fee, i would be willing to come back from time to time" he says, obviously teasing the other boy. Jon smirks "Very funny" he says sarcastically "Now come on, trainer, we've got work to do if i'm ever gonna be able to ride my horse" he says, taking Missy's reins, leading her to the riding ring and mounting up. he warms the mare up then starts to do his runs, getting faster each time. he takes a break to let Missy walk for a minute and calls to Mikki "Anything we could do better?" Mikki thinks "Yea, make your lines a little straighter and turn tighter, you won't hit the barrels, Missy's too smart for that, you need to trust your choices, your horse won't be as experienced and will look for your guidance" he says. Jon runs the barrels a few more times. finally he gets the time he has been trying for. "YEAH!! I DID IT!!" he yells happily for all to hear. "Great!" Mikki says as they cool Missy out. Michelle smiles shyly "Good job" she says softly to Jon, then hides behind Missy as they load her into the trailer and Saddle ships her home*
