Subject: Alexander Russell and Margaret Anderson

I am looking for any information on my great grandparents Alexander Russell and Margaret Russell(Anderson, maiden name) who immigrated to the US in 1911 from Motherwell Scotland. Margaret Russell's next of kin as listed on the ship's manifest was Mrs. Anderson on Branden St. I believe. Alexander was a Congregational minister. Any suggestions as to where I might find further info would be appreciated.

I believe my great grandparents may be the Russells you are looking for. The names and time match. Mine came from Motherwell, where my grandmother Mollie was born, and immigrated through Ellis Island, and subsequently to Iowa, around 1911. We thought great grandfather Alex Russell was a Lutheran minister, at any rate he married my parents. Please reply if you have any more info.

My Great Grandparents were Thomas Russell and his wife Margaret Sommerville from the Lanark area in Scotland so they would be related I'm sure. I haven't really tried to find much on this part of the family yet but certainly interested in communicating with you. My Grandparents came to New Zealand in 1913.
