Subject: Family history

I am tracing my family tree and would appreciate any help with my father's side of the family. His name was John Ireland Stobo and he lived in Wingate Street in Craigneuk Wishaw. I wanted to know which regiment in the army he was in. My Grandfather was John McLaughlan Stobo and he lived in Bery hill in Wishaw married to Maggie Beck. His Grandparents were Mary and John McLauglin living in Berryhill Wishaw. Any information on any thing to do with the Stobo McLaughlan family would help.
