Researching Robert Douglas b 1584, Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland. M. Jean Ross

I have researched my family line to Robert Douglas but can not find any information on his father. If there is any research regarding this line I would greatly like to share my information in return for some on this gentleman.

This looks a lot like Deacon William Douglas and Anne Mottle as shown in the Douglas Archives at http://www.blae2.org.uk/genealogy/familygroup.php?familyID=F134641&tree=MainFamilyTree

However, I have doubts about the detail on his ancestors or on his arrival in New London as I do not believe there was a second sailing of the Mayflower.

'My' William Douglas, b1610, appears to be one of, if the, earliest Douglases to arrive in the new world, and from him many thousands appear to be descended.
