There are several birthdays which one must never let pass on by without mad partying of some description...

The 18th, the 21st, the 40th, 50th, 60th and so on and so forth...

although by the time you get to 40 you might just drink to stop feeling depressed about reaching THAT age... and by 60 you might not feel so inclined to go on a club/pub crawl...

So its an unwritten rule to go crazy on your 18th!

Dozer, my friend and I were having that discussion about just going out to town and somehow ending up in some foreign country several days later...

But when we started discussing phoning home and telling our parents not to wait up for us, we were in Magaluf *guys shouting and glasses clinking in the background* we realised they might not be so chuffed...

and of course there's the matter of finances - neither of us are terribly... affluent... at the moment

But I would love to do it all the same =))
