Tyranny of the majority, nation of the damned I may not love my country, but it's the hypocrites I can't stand. You say you're so liberal by recycling but you're driving to the gap in a gas guzzling SUV. Always giving to charity, singing yer own praise but the real motivation is the tax money it saves. But how many lives have you really saved by supporting a telethon or playing a softball game? Political aspirations stuck to a bumper or pinned to a wall you want your politics dictated but you never ever get involved. Walking around in nikes, swooshstika on your head trying to convince people imperialism is dead. Complaining about environmental problems every chance you get still you support NAFTA without regret. Marching in protest, helping the cause but you're only out there to improve a resume for corporate jobs.
Wearing a tee-shirt and chanting some slogans doen't make you a reformist to me you're just revolting. "Worst of all is the charity ball. Toronto indulges in these festering festivals on a grand scale. Think of cavorting around in a dress suit because some poor wretch is hungry: and of indulging in a royal carousal to comfort some despairing women on the brink of suicide; and finally, that in 'fashionable society' the definition of this mixture of inanity and moral perversion is 'charity.' Fleece your fellows! That is 'business'and you are a captain of industry. Having 'relieved' your victims of their pelts, dance and make merry to 'relieve' their agony. This is 'charity' and you are a philanthropist."
