'Pre - Production'
Means no actual filming has been done yet.
Pre Production is everything that must be taken care of before shooting starts, including casting, hiring of department heads, shooting schedule, script breakdown, scouting and securing of locations, securing financing and many other details. Usually, the more time spent in pre-production, the more smoothly the production will go.

Well i think we should send Catriona down there to tell them to just jolly well get on with it!
