When my husband got orders to transfer to Fort Polk, I was depressed...we've been at Fort Lee, Va., for 2 years now, and I thought leaving the Richmond, Va., area and going to such a smaller area was going to mean bad tv and bad radio. Well, the tv isn't much to write about, but I went online to check out what radio stations there were around here, and I ran across the group of stations where all the websites look similar and noticed they looked just like the ones in Richmond - and sure enough, they're owned by "Clear Channel."
I found some other stations' websites, but I wasn't impressed with their presentation, and their signal doesn't get out to where we are in Gardner (kinda sad in itself) but THANK GOD I found you guys!
For a town this size, you guys have a NICE website...with the music news and charts and stuff...all those pictures (note to Jen & Ron: I wanna go on your next bus...looks like FUN!!!), plus the contest info.
You guys sound just as sharp on the air, too. Music's good...you guys are giving away lotsa stuff (so there's hope for me, too!!) and I can chat with other listners on the message board now! Shoot, we didn't even have message boards in big ol' Richmond!
Don't get me wrong...I MISS Richmond!!! But I'm closer to my family in Midland, Texas, and you guys make being in the Alexandria-Leesville area bearable!
