I remember hearing a song when I was growing up---would have been '88--'92, that had the lyrics "I left her right there by the river...I left her right there safe and sound...I need to make it to the river, and leave this old nebraska town" as well as "but she was walking all alone, and she never came home". I haven't heard the song since then, but if I remember correctly it sounds a lot like Richard Marx. That may be a possiblity, otherwise someone who sounds a lot like him. If anyone knows the title or the true artist, it would be much appreciated.
