I just want to comment on the whole "artists' union" thing. I think it's incredibly stupid what they did to online broadcasting. I would figure if anything, it would increase exposure to certain artists' music. Back before all this came about, I used to tune in to Boston's WAAF rock station since there was no station like it here locally. I can't count the times that I would hear a song that I liked on the internet broadcast (which is the exact same thing you would be hearing if you were living in Boston and tuned in on the radio) and then went out and bought that artist's CD. And we're talking about artists that you wouldn't hear on ANY station here in CenLa. Bands like System of a Down, Korn, SevenDust, and at that time bands like Staind, Limp Bizkit, and Incubus before they wrote music that would get them enough recognition to cross-over from rock stations to hit music stations like Q93.

I really don't know where these "unions" get their ideas, but they need to wise up, and focus more on making music than making money. That's what got them where they are in the first place.
