Bands and record labels that want airplay from radio stations usually don't just put posts on station message boards. They send them a CD (yes, they still do that...) and they call on them to see if they'd heard it, make their case, etc. etc. Radio programmers don't respond well to record labels and band managers who don't show some initiative and make an effort. Q93 has been VERY supportive of the local music scene in the past year or so, and will continue to be. That doesn't mean we'll play 'em all, but we will announce their gigs, fundraising endeavors, etc.

And Cenla Idol last year DID give them an opportunity to showcase their talent. Future contests will do the same.

But please, don't "attack" me or the station and paint a picture of "non-support." It's easy to post a message...it takes work and dedication and talent to get radio airplay. There are folks who've been at it a lot longer that still can't get airplay, and they're very talented. And I'm sure they didn't attack their local stations to get 'em to play their music.

Keep trying ... send us your stuff ... get out in the public ... play shows and get a fan base developing, k? We'll be here when ya get going.

Regards,
Ron
