I have a 13-1/2 year old Boston Terrier rescue who has ulcerative colitis. I rescued Stella from our local animal shelter three years ago. Of course, we know nothing much about her previous health. She is on a prescription diet dog food for this condition. We also avoid any 'people' food except for some fruits/vegetables (mainly bananas and carrots). Stella's occasional bouts of colitis (3 times or so per year) leave her with a bloody discharge from her rectum, some loose stool, and gas.
