GM XANE:

The group at the shack

Using combined efforts, the group at the grain shack
manage to transport
about half of the bags stacked there before the farmer
shows up again.
He looks into the shack and pales visibly.
"By the gods! What have you done in here?!" he
exclaims, looking at the
grains on the floor. "Is even such a simple task too
difficult for you city folk?!
I must have been out of my mind to let you touch my
grain!"
Suddenly, there is a second, female voice, coming from
outside the shack.
"Finan Megor!" the voice snaps, "You should be ashamed
of yourself! Letting
your guests work like slaves and then still telling
them they're not doing a
good job!"
The farmer looks over his shoulder. He suddenly seems
a lot more timid.
"But dear... look at what they did to my-"
"No buts Finan!" the female voice interrupts, "the
very least you could do is
invite them over for breakfast before you start
putting down their hard
work!"
The farmer steps aside from the door frame, softly
muttering something to
himself as a slightly smaller halfling female steps
into the doorway.
"Greetings to all of you," she says politely, a warm
smile on her face, "I wish
to apologise for my husbands grumpiness. He has
manners, but sometimes he
can be very good at hiding them."
She gives her husband an angry look.
"Please, won't you come and join me for a healthy
breakfast?"

Leonora
A little halfling boy comes walking towards Leonora
who's still sitting in front
of the stables with the basket the farmer gave her.
"Hi," he says, "My name is Timon, what's your name?"
The boy looks up at Leonora curiously, but also with
some suspicion.

Re: The group at the halfling farm

Baraka's tail wags happily. Breakfast was something
that sounded like a very
good idea to him.
The hourani flicked an ear as a sudden thought crossed
his mind. City folk?
Did hourani live in cities? He didn't know, and that
brought awareness of his
amnesia surging back up to the tail of his mind. The
child farmer had a
sister... did he have any siblings, too?
He hadn't really grasped what a hundred years was
like, but the not-knowing
of simple things such as who his packmates were
distressed him.

ALDRAI:

Re: The group at the halfling farm

Aldrai muttered "City folk? Hey buddy, at least you
have a home." but says
this in a small voice only to the others close to her.
On her way out, she
picks up some hay and walks to Kauldren. "Breakfast
Kauldren! Breakfast!
Kauldren?" She walked over to some bushes and looked
in. She saw
Kauldrens corpse, gutted and bitten up. Apperantly a
group of goblins saw
the horse and decided to have some dinner. Aldrai fell
to the ground and
cried, and the wind seemed to howl with her.

TUKATULA:

Re: The group at the Halfling Farm - Kitchen

Tukatula was already seated in the kitchen, looking at
some good-looking
loaves of bread, when the rest of the group arrived.
With a little sigh, he remembered his manners and got
up, waiting for his
friends to sit, before sitting himself and starting
having his breakfast. Finally
the time has came. He grabs a piece of bread and eats
with pleasure. After
all, he didn't know when his next meal would arrive...

Tukatula noticed a sad look on Aldrai's face. She
looked like she'd been
crying. Tukatula beams a pale smile at the child,
extending a piece of bread
in her direction.
"Here, have this, Aldrai... What's wrong? What
happened to you?..." he asks
in a low, soft voice.

ALDRAI:

Re: The group at the halfling farm

Aldrai sniffed once, and then burst out into tears
again. "It's horrible." she
howled. "I should have left him in the barn I should
have but I didn't and now
he, he's" She howled lodly and cried even louder.
"It's Kauldren. Somebody
went up, and, ate him!" She cried even more.
---------------------------------------------------------

TUKATULA (not posted yet):

"Ate him?! Poor child!" mutters Tukatula. He passes his hand over Aldrai's
head, trying to confort her. "Calm down. It's horrible, I know... Please,
don't cry... Look, do you think Kauldren would like to see you crying?!..."
he pauses for a moment, letting him sob, then he continues "Look, it's
horrible to loose someone you're attached to. I know... For some time, we
feel lost, like if everything is over... But life has to go on... Remember
every happy moment you had with Kauldren. How you two met, how he carried
you rushing like the wind... Keep the happy thoughts. Think about this: If
it was the other way around, would you like Kauldren to be sad for you? Of
course not, we always want our friends to be Happy!..."

"Now, clean your tears and push forward. You have your all life in front of
you. And, one more thing: I promise you we'll find out who made this, and
make him pay! What you think?"
