Subject: Three more for Itramon the sage (Eliet, Gornul, Kripp, Joran)

Joran

It's a fair day, around 10 in the morning.
Joran, content with his life in general, calmly walks along a brick paved road in a northbound direction. He softly whistles a tune and smiles as a bird in a nearby tree whistles back in return.
The area Joran is traveling through at the moment is fairly open, with a few scattered clusters of trees here and there and fields of ripening crops dominating the countryside. Some halfling farmers are busy on the fields and occaisionally, he comes across a typical halfling farm.
"Must be a halfling province," Joran muses to himself as he suddenly realizes that he's seen an awful lot of halflings coming by lately.
He walks on, hoping to make it to one of the small towns along the road before nightfall.
On his left hand side, Joran passes a white building, perhaps a temple of some sort. Inside, he sees a few small figures dressed in white robes going about their business and he shrugs as he walks on. Neither halflings nor religion are of particular interest to him.
A rough mile further down the road, Joran spots a small meadow, surrounded by a small forest on all sides except the one Joran's standing at right now. Even on this side of the clearing, some bushes and trees grow, but the sunlit clearing looks very appealing to Joran, who suddenly becomes aware that his feet are hurting considerably from walking several hours already.
He makes his way through the bushes and steps onto the clearing. The meadow is not big, maybe 50 feet across.
On the far side of the meadow, the stump of a chopped down tree forms the only reminder that a huge tree must have once stood there. The stump is roughly ten feet in diameter and makes for a perfect seat, Joran realizes as he feels that the scarse wind that reached the meadow seemed to be blocked entirely in this corner of the clearing.
He sits down and takes out some of the travel rations he's brought with him. Without much appetite, he begins chewing on them when suddenly he hears a tiny voice beside him.
"You! What do you think you're doing!"
It takes a moment for Joran to find the owner of the voice, but as it hops onto a rock, he can see a tiny faery, it's wings beating angrily, staring at him.
"Who are you to sit on the remains of the Holy Anabis tree, the seat of power of King Galvadon?! GET UP!"
The tiny faery snaps his fingers and Joran suddenly finds himself being catapulted through the air, to land rather unsoftly on the grass, some ten feet from the stump.
"Who are you and what are you doing here?!" the faery shouts in a demanding tone. "Speak up now, before I apply the king's regulations and put you to death here and now!"
(ooc: *grin* you may reply now Joran)

Eliet, Gornul, Kripp

Ula looks at Eliet, Gornul and Kripp, a serious expression on her face. (ooc: Kripp, I hope you won't mind, but I'm assuming you're coming along for the ride ;)
"As I have told you, I've been aware of strange, dark forces growing in strength in Riparia for some time now. I don't know what has happened recently, but Natalliea confided in me that you three will have to undertake a quest to counter it. Along the way, you will pick up allies for your cause, but beware enemies in disguise. You will be up against an opponent unlike the world has ever seen before and I fear that it will be a very difficult task for you. Why Natalliea chose you, and not a noble lord or knight I cannot say, but I trust in Natalliea's judgement. May she be with you where you go."
Her gaze drifts over the three faces before her.
"Go to Itramon the sage, and ask him for the whereabouts of Bodin the former. He will help you get started on this quest. Tell Bodin that Ula sent you to restore the elemental powers to balance in Riparia. He is... special," Ula says with a smile, "but trust me, he will know what you will have to do next."
She gets up and opens the door to her office.
"You'd better get going," she says with a smile, "A mile down the road, on the lefthand side of the road, you will find a clearing. On it, someone is about to get into trouble, someone you will need to take along on this quest. Natalliea has revealed this to me. His name is Joran."

... And sure enough, a mile down the road, the three find the clearing and see a lone man sitting on a tree stump.
"Looks like we're in time," Kripp says to his companions, when suddenly the man lets out a yell and appears to be thrown through the air by an invisible hand.
"Damn! Let's go!" Eliet exclaims and begins making her way through the bushes.
