Heh, you really didn't have to top the thread. I usually scroll down a fair way to see what's in here.

Okay, let's see.
First up, you are right about many things you wrote in your last post, I won't deny that. I know for a fact that yep, I like to have some influence, if not control, over the things I become engaged in and in certain situations, such as with Jeremy and GM Kat, they simply won't allow you to take charge in any way of your own destiny during roleplay. IMO that sucks rocks.
As far as roleplaying is concerned, I don't think I play like that. Everyone who plays here has a lot of freedom to do what they want to do. And so do you of course.

Now, get me clear, I don't want you to leave, I like having you around in the game a lot. You're dynamic and active and in your own way, devoted like no other. However, it's clear to me that you just don't take the time to read my posts seriously and as a result of that, you don't understand what's going on and complain to me that the game is unclear and boring.
Of course, I couldn't give a rat's ass wether you spend 1 minute or 1 hour to read my post, as long as the point comes across. As Mortdred said in his post, if you don't have the time to read something properly, save it to disk or print it so you can spend some time reading it carefully when you have the time, perhaps whilst enjoying a cigarette in the open air or something. :)

Ebony... what to say about that? The game is dead amigo. I encourage your enthousiasm to try to keep the game alive, but IMHO, I think the game is cursed. No game should be allowed to have more than two restarts unless it's something very special. Ebony WAS special, but now, not even fragments of that game remain. It's dead, gone, burried. When I tried to pump new life into it, we had 12 players or so, all curious and wondering what was going to happen now. Now we have 4 or so, of which I can only with certainty say that 3 still give something about the game. (I haven't heard from Daphne in a while now, have you?)

To get back to Aldaria: Yes, I know myself a little by now and I know that I enjoy compliments and sometimes can't handle critisism very well. These are qualities and faults I'm aware of and have worked on a lot in the past. It'll probably change some over time, but I don't expect it to ever fully leave me, it's just who I am.
We all have our flaws, I suppose that's one of the things that makes us human.
Allow me to point out a flaw of yours which I've noticed over time. It's good that you realized you were going overboard with Utopia after a while. If you hadn't, I'm fairly sure we wouldn't have been having this talk right now. However, I've noticed on several occaisions that when things don't go the way you want them to, you still have the tendency to look for faults everywhere but with yourself.
I'll admit that perhaps my description of where to find what could have been more clear to you, but I simply cannot GM a game like this: Go 1 mile north. Pick up Joran. Go another 20 miles north. Find Sage. Ask about Former. etc etc. That's not what an interesting adventure RPG game is like to me! It requires description and sometimes the dull 'pointless' chatter you seem to dislike so much.
Just look at the other team. They've just had a rugged fight and seem to enjoy themselves quite well in the game. They can and so can you, if you only invest just a little more effort into it.

Finally, a short note on itwdne. I think it would work best if we would devide the work between us officially. Meaning that one of us would be in charge of moderating a certain event, and the other would still be cc-ed, but would only comment if things got out of control for his liking. How does that sound?
I think it's inevitable to have such a division of the tasks since we'll both likely have slightly different approaches to things and we should avoid public disagreements on any topic as much as possible.

One last word. Apples! ;)
hehehe *chuckles* Nah, j/k.
Don't worry pal, GM Xane will never become GM Kat, although he's not entirely the same person as Marcel either since he has some responsibilities to keep his game running and enjoyable for the players.
Btw... Ivialiana was right. I don't much like to see my real name appear here in Aldaria. In Aldaria I pretty much have to be GM Xane (GM because I am that here, the game master)
